A. The Age of Globalization

The dawn of the 21st century is marked by a rapid change in communication and information technology. This supports the reality that the world is merging into one global community inseparable from each other and dependent on each other. For an example, the current financial crisis in the United States not only affects Americans but affects all nations. All countries in the world have to work together to overcome this crisis.

B. Internationals Standards

An outcome of the era of globalization is that we must have international standards. It is no longer effective to only have a national mindset and way of thinking; we must have an international mindset and way of thinking. This can only happen if the all the nations in the world accept this fact. Building an international mindset and way of thinking for and about life is a big and heavy job. Students now are the next generation, the future, so education must teach in accordance with this changing world in order for there to be successful entrance into the world

C. Compete in the era of globalization

In order to compete during this Era of Globalization with the international community, schools must teach to four characteristics, they are:

1. Have faith and a fear of God.

People's intellect is based on three things: intelligence quotient (IQ), emotional quotient (EQ) and spiritual quotient (SQ). 20% of a person/students success is based on their IQ while the other 80% is based on their EQ and SQ. Christian schools must balance their focus and curriculum not only on intellect but also on teaching students to think about the Kingdom of Heaven. It this is done well students will learn to have the fear of the Lord.

2. Able to speak an international language.

Every person must be able to speak an international language. People need to be able to communicate effectively in an international language in their jobs. Schools must prepare and educate children to be active in speaking English, the international language.

3. Have a creative personality.

We live in a world like an ocean, vast and unpredictable. Only people with a creative personality will be able to find new opportunity in the midst of tight competition. Therefore schools must adopt curriculum that teach students to be creative.

4. Have skills in ICT (Information and Communication Technology)

ICT implementation in education is a must. It is school's responsibility to provide ICT facilities to students.

D. Answer to our challenge: National School with International Standards

To answer the challenge and opportunities we face, DCS is a national school with International Standards:
